          Intercultural Communication

*                   What do we mean by “Intercultural Communication”?
                            It undertakes some sorts of humans like ethic, occupational, class, etc. In other words I can explain it with the help of Indians. When in Gujarat people simply usually used to speak in Gujarati language but in Kerala this language and its background may differ. Though both are cited in India but they sounds different because their culture and are totally different. Same like this their living style also different to each other. I am giving this example with noble intention, if there are queries or mistakes in explanation then correctness is required.
                        In the given article or in research book from Cambridge University there is mentioned point that in United States it has traditionally been related to the behavioral sciences, psychology and professional business turning in training. Whereas in Europe it is mostly associated with anthropolology and the language sciences or linguistics. By this point I want to say that there will be difference or differences between each and every person or linguists who belongs to the different background and culture. It is common that language will flow constantly and it changes by dialects and by its structures.

*                      Background to the intercultural
                                “If we talk about ‘culture’ then it is meant to ‘knowledge about great works of literature, social institutions and historical events and acquired through the translation of written texts”.
                If we take an example of translation of written texts then we may observe translation of “Bhagwadgeeta” a Sanskrit holly book of Hindu religion which was translated by thereby we got new version of this great holly book and it became a historical part of Indian culture. However it is translated in many languages and it contains same respect everywhere in India who believes in religion and reads holly books.
                 It is mentioned in the research book that the term “Intercultural Communication” became prominent in TESOL only in the 1980’s was firstly developed in Europe.
                 Edward T. Hall and linguist Robert Lado who were officer in Europe’s Georgetown University. In “The Silent Language” (1959). Hall showed the complex ways in which “culture is communication and communication ids culture”. Without making communication we could not think that culture may alive. Obviously culture is not static, it changes generation after generation. The principals of Intercultural Communication were developed by Hall and his colleagues in Foreign by the Peace Corps in early 1960’s.
*                    Miscommunications
                   Miscommunication occurs when there are two different cultural ways or parts. Example; Asian and American. More precisely Indian person could not communicate to American person, because their language, region, background differs.
                      American English is changing from Victorian age to the Modern age and Indians have learnt English language as a subject and as education system occurs the biggest problem. Thus American English and Indian English or Indlish always differs to each other and because of these reasons there may happen miscommunications. And we feel opposition or mismatches to this culture. We closely describe it as Western culture and India as an Eastern culture.
                     I should not represent other tactics because western and eastern culture we know very well. We can judge miscommunications with the help of communal sales man and corporate executives. Ethnically diverse groups within one and the same country and was used by social workers and educators. Through trade, import-export Europe became one of the most popular outcomes of Intercultural communication into the industrialized countries.
                 Majority of human interactions are important for communications. There may happen mismatch, despair, similarity, attraction towards cultural outcomes, behavioral patterns, etc. These things may arise when we commute interculturality of two or three different culture. Here discourse and language plays vital role. In discourse we can estimate attitudes, values and beliefs.
                If we just take an example of a group of discussion and we contribute some scholars from different cultures or backgrounds then there will be close interaction, we can see that their living style and their structure occurs different grammatology and linguistics. Thus, its base of communication skills, that how to accept another culture in its way as they are.
                  Post war events lead us to communication. Because when so many noble children and people died, in America there was chaotic situation and other nations came to help them and in this way communication especially intercultural communication took place. In America, Iran, Iraq, China, Japan; war, anti-war, super-natural, natural elements has organized this kind of communication.
                  Intercultural training and research place in US centers such as the East- West center in Honolulu in early 1960’s.

*                    Cross Cultural Business Communication
                        Cross Cultural Business Communication is very helpful in building cultural intelligence through coaching and training in cross cultural communication, cultural negotiation, multi cultural conflict resolution, customer service, etc. Cross cultural communication is not only for the sake of expat capitals but also its delivery of content.  An ability of owner of the international company who is going to deal with more grabbing opportunity to interact international company.
                       Most important in cross cultural business is that how to develop ideology of fairly interaction, negotiation and understanding of other culture. If this happens then there will not to be failure attempt in the field of marketing and deals. It will count as a plus-point for those who are developing these ideas beneath themselves.

*  In Intercultural Communications these things are important and meaningful:

1.   Attribution: Others as a stupid, deceit or as a crazy.
2.   Informal understandings: Developed trust.
3.   Non Verbal Communication: Variations in body language without words.
4.   Kinesics Behavior: That means posture, gestures, facial expression, eye contact, etc.
5.   Proxemics: In terms office layouts.

*                      Management of Intercultural Communications
* Develop cultural sensitivity.
* Anticipate the meaning the receiver will get.
* Careful encoding.
* Use words, pictures and gadgets.
* Avoid slang, idioms and regional savings.
* Selective transmission and follow up actions.
* Build relationships, face to face communication if possible.
* Careful decoding of feedback.
* Get feed back from multiple parties.
* Improve listening and observational skills.

                   Conclusion

                       I can say that after the globalization, liberalization, civilization and industrialization the way of thinking and communication skill has been diverted into one way communication skills with the help of the technology which can only access the global language means the English Language. So communication happens in broader way.
